Bogota, August 9, 2021. As of August 18, 2021 Gabriel Oliva will be the Executive Vice president and Head of the Cargo Unit of Avianca Holdings. He will also oversee Deprisa, alongside Susana Argueta, and will hold a seat in the Holding’s management team.

Oliva has over 20 years of experience in executive positions in diverse industries, with over 10 years of experience in the aviation sector. His most recent position was that of Senior Vice President for North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific for Latam Cargo. Previously, he led the areas of Global Transformation, Alliances and Interline, Marketing and Customer Experience, Product Development and Revenue Management for North America and Asia. In addition to this experience, Gabriel has worked with companies that include The Boston Consulting Group, Siemens and Petrobras. Oliva holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from the Instituto Tecnológico in Buenos Aires.
