This year all miles bring you closer to Elite status: see what's new with LifeMiles for 2023

• This year the company has more options for members to earn status-qualifying miles by flying with Avianca or Star Alliance member airlines, shopping with co-branded credit or debit cards, shopping at allied merchants, earning miles, using LifeMiles Pay or being part of Club LifeMiles.
• LifeMiles is reinvesting in more benefits for its Elite members: they will receive 5% back on miles redeemed for Avianca tickets on LifeMiles.com; access to Avianca Lounge, seat selection, upgrades, among others are now obtained in a simpler way.

Bogota, February 7, 2023 LifeMiles, Avianca's loyalty program and one of the most awarded in the Americas, is renewed this year to provide new benefits to its Elite members and facilitate Elite Status qualification by allowing all accumulated miles to add up to progress.

"For this year we have made changes to the program that respond to what our customers asked of us in 2022." We expanded the benefits of the Elite program and did what we could to make those benefits easier to use. Now it's easier than ever to qualify for or maintain Elite status as of January 1, all miles accrued by flying Avianca, using co-branded credit cards and all the options we have add up to Elite status, said Matt Vincett, CEO of LifeMiles.

Some of the main news from the company are:

• New alternatives to earn qualifying miles to obtain Elite status: to the option of earning miles for traveling on Avianca or Star Alliance member airlines now members will able to earn miles using LifeMiles debit or credit cards, the LifeMiles Pay platform (available in Colombia), subscribing to LifeMiles Club, for purchases in allied stores and for the purchase of miles, among others.
• 5% mileage redemption for members when redeeming miles for Avianca flights on LifeMIies.com that are credited to your account. This benefit applies to purchases in all brands for the member and tickets issued to third parties from the account holder. Valid on promotional mileage and with no annual maximums or date restrictions.
• Access to benefits for your flight in a simpler way: depending on your status, each member will receive a fixed amount of benefits such as admission to Avianca Lounges, Premium seat selection or upgrades to business class on flights to and from Europe* and will be able to manage them more easily.
