  • The call will be mainly aimed at operational and technical positions in the Colombian and El Salvador markets.
  • In addition, in order to promote specialized talent, the selection process will value previous experience in the countries where such positions are required and will give priority to Viva and Ultra talent, given the crisis that these airlines are going through.
  • The hiring process will depend on the authority’s agility in the approvals for the incorporation of aircraft and personnel, as well as the fair distribution of slots for this purpose.
  • Avianca currently employs 12,400 people with indefinite-term contracts, of which more than 8,000 are in Colombia

In this regard, Adrian Neuhauser said: "It is time to think about the future and to maintain the country's connectivity, that is why we will seek to add aircraft to our operation and we will initiate the process to find the best talent and join the Avianca team. This effort to open call for 730 experts seeks to provide options and protect the stability of the sector. It should be noted that these additions will be made in accordance with the provisions of the existing collective bargaining agreements".
