ABRA Group and Aerolíneas Argentinas sign memorandum of understanding

Buenos Aires, October 19, 2023. Grupo Abra (Avianca and GOL) announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aerolíneas Argentinas that seeks to strengthen collaboration and explore opportunities between the two organizations, specifically in the commercial, operations and technology areas.

The member airlines of Abra Group and Aerolíneas Argentinas maintain their complete independence, autonomy, brands, talent and culture. Likewise, the agreement signed does not contemplate any change in the shareholding structures of the group of the mentioned companies.

If necessary, the airlines will request and obtain any governmental authorization for the implementation of this alliance.
"Partnering with Abra and being able to work on a joint planning and strategy that allows us to create better networks, more connectivity and, ultimately, a better product, is fundamental for Aerolíneas Argentinas as well as for GOL and Avianca. I am sure that this agreement will further boost the growth of the air market throughout the region," said Fabián Lombardo, commercial director of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

"As part of the Group's growth in the region, we are announcing a collaboration agreement with Aerolineas Argentinas, Argentina's leading airline, which will allow us to further strengthen our presence in the Southern Cone and seek new opportunities in different areas to contribute to Abra's purpose: to get more people in Latin America flying with better fares, more destinations, frequencies and convenient connections," said Constantino de Oliveira Junior, CEO of Abra Group.
